A harrowing ordeal turned into a heartwarming story for an abandoned dog in Suwaki, Poland. Seeking solace from the cold, the dog unwittingly laid down on a patch of recently dumped tar, mistaking it for a warm haven. Tragically, the tar quickly adhered to his fur, trapping him in a sticky prison.

Unaware of his predicament at first, the dog eventually realized he was stuck. Instinctively, he began barking loudly, his cries echoing through the vicinity. Thankfully, his pleas for help were heard by nearby workers. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, they immediately contacted Joanna Godlewska of the Niczyje Animal Foundation, a beacon of hope for animals in distress.

Joanna, along with firefighters and police officers from the area, rushed to the scene. Faced with the daunting task of removing the tar without harming the dog, the team devised a meticulous plan. They carefully began to remove the dog’s fur, section by section, freeing him from the sticky substance. The process was undoubtedly arduous, but their dedication and perseverance paid off. Finally, after a combined effort, the dog was completely liberated from the tar’s clutches.

Healing and hope: A new beginning for farcik
The ordeal had taken its toll on the dog. Exhausted and covered in ticks, he was in desperate need of medical attention. The rescuers transported him to a veterinarian, where he received a thorough examination and much-needed medication to combat exhaustion. Over 100 ticks were painstakingly removed from his body. After a series of baths to remove the remaining tar, Farcik was finally able to rest comfortably on a soft bed and savor a warm meal.

Christened Farcik by his rescuers, the brave dog slowly regained his strength. His minor head injuries were treated, and with each passing day, he began to show signs of improvement. Farcik, with his wagging tail and newfound zest for life, is slowly learning to walk again. He will remain under the care of his rescuers until he makes a full recovery. Once back on his paws, Farcik will be ready to find his forever home. We wish him a speedy recovery and a future filled with love and happiness.
