She had been playing with her favorite blue ball when it rolled out of sight. Chasing after it, Lei found herself far from home and, before she knew it, she was lost. Her tiny paws were sore from walking, and her fluffy tail hung low with sadness.
As the sun began to set, Lei found a quiet corner beneath a large oak tree. She lay down, curling up to keep warm, and wished for someone to find her. Her birthday was supposed to be filled with treats, games, and cuddles, but now all she had were the shadows of the evening and the distant sounds of the city.
Just as Lei’s eyes began to droop, she heard a familiar voice calling her name. It was her family! Her heart leaped with joy as she saw them running toward her, their faces filled with relief and happiness.
Her owner scooped her up, hugging her tightly. “We’ve been looking everywhere for you, Lei! Happy Birthday, sweet girl!” They took her home, where a special birthday cake awaited her. Although the day had started off lonely, it ended with a heartwarming reunion and the loving celebration Lei had been dreaming of.
